Latest: Site Re-Build
Posted by: stevie Category: Web Design
As you can see, the site has had a wee make over. The visual interface of the site isn't complete, but I was soooo... bored with the previous incarnation that I had to do something to get me interested again.
Since, its pretty much a new site entirly, I'm going to do it over a few stages:
- Update the design
- Build a static version of the site
- Populate the site with new content
- Error/Bug testing
- Incorporate a back-end CMS into the site
Although, I'm still in the design stage, I've stated building the site structure. I was keen to get it live, but I have left room to touch up some of the design. So far, I've been building the pages semantically making correct use of Header and paragraph tags and removing the excessive amount of div tags that I would have used in the past.
I've also been introduced to some exciting client side technologigies such as sIFR and Lightboxes which are great for enhancing a sites' front end content, bit these have some compatibility issues which I'm working out.
After all this has been done, I will start putting the site through a CMS, most likely wordpress. I've been playing about with it for a few weeks, so I will build a duplicate version of the site and push it up a level and hey presto, I'll have an entirley dynamic version of baxdesign.com
